Transitioning to the WHS Act – Part 2

Remember that whether your jurisdiction has enacted the WHS Act already or not is not an indication of whether you should be prepared for the new laws – all jurisdictions will eventually adopt the WHS Act so this information is relevant to everyone in business in Australia.

Safe Work Australia has developed some transitional principles that aim to streamline the transition from pre-harmonisation legislation to the new WHS Act in each jurisdiction.

These transitional principles will allow for a consistent approach from safety regulators in their enforcement and compliance of health and safety laws during this changeover period.
